Who We Are.
The National Intern Conference Committee consists of representatives from each Intern Network in Ireland. Together the committee is organizing an inaugural conference at the end of the Intern Training Year with the primary aim being to facilitate a National Forum to discuss ways to improve the training of Irish Interns.
The conference will also provide a number of exciting guest speakers relevant to the chosen theme of the year. The 2014 conference will focus on creativity and innovation in medicine. The conference will run from 09:30 – 16:00, with food and refreshments provided. Our guests will primarily consist of Interns given the focus of the day; however we will also have a number of senior NCHD’s, Hospital Consultants, Professors, Faculty from the various Medical Schools, representatives from the HSE and other non-medical professionals including personnel from the Government and Media.
Poster Presentations will be on display throughout the day portraying the vast
quantity and quality of research being done by Irish Interns. In the evening we will host a social event and have planned an extravagant Black Tie Ball complete with a four course meal and live music at the Rochestown Park Hotel, Cork. The proceeds of the event will be donated to Charity.
The National Intern Conference Committee know this event will facilitate important discussions on the future of Irish Healthcare, inspire creative and innovative thinking for the attendees own careers, while also facilitating an opportunity for everyone to socialise with former classmates, new friends & future colleagues.
